The EFKA Registration Certificate is issued exclusively by EFKA branches (formerly IKA) upon presentation of the student's police identity card, Tax Identification Number (AFM), and Social Insurance Number (AMKA).
Students who already possess a Social Security Registration Number (AMA)-either because they are insured under the former IKA themselves or through a parent’s insurance—may submit a photocopy of the page from their health booklet showing both their AMA and AMKA. Alternatively, students may submit the EFKA Registration Certificate, which can be issued electronically via the e-ΕΦΚΑ, platform, provided they are registered users.
Important Notice: If you are already insured with another social security fund, you are still required to follow the above procedure. This does not imply a change of your insurance provider.
The three (3) electronic files may be submitted in parts.
At the end of the process, you are not required to log out. All submitted documents are saved automatically, and you may simply close your browser.
Registration and document submission will no longer be possible after the deadline, and consequently, participation in the Internship Program will be denied.
The above steps are mandatory for all students at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).
